  • Fund. Of Catholic Morality
  • This is a one-term class offering for the eleventh grade.This course examines current moral questions and the appropriate teachings of the Church through use of argumentative essays.The primary consideration of the course center on social issues that envelope our culture.Students form the ability to offer reasons and evidence in support of their moral decision process in response to the social issues.Through research, the development of arguments, and class discussions the students will possess the proper orientation for forming their lives as faithful men and leaders in society.

  • Advanced Placement Biology is a college level course.
    The text this course will use is "Biology" by Campbell & Reece (8th edition AP edition).
    This course will take an in-depth look at general Biology and cover the AP syllabus.
    It will require 1 hour of homework each weeknight.
    There will be 3 test a term. One first term exam and one third term exam.


  • This course will be a systematic study of our environment(the place we live). It is an interdisciplinary course. It integrates the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities. We will learn about what we know and what we are trying to learn about the biosphere.
  • Form 6 Astronomy
    In this course we will be looking at Earth's place in the Universe. Starting with our location in the solar system and moving out into the Universe. We will discover how we see the rest of the Universe and what we see.
  • Form 3 Honor Biology
    HONORS BIOLOGY 2011-2012
    INSTRUCTOR: MR. J. WENGER
    TEXT: Modern Biology by Postlethwait and Hopson

    Biology is the study of life. So we will be looking at all forms of life and how they work. It is a hard course and requires a great deal of reading and note taking. It is also an exciting and extremely interesting course. The investigations should teach you things that will make your life richer and help explain life.
  • Form 2 Science Astronomy 2010-2011
    Test Science: Explorer Astronomy
    Instructor: Jake Wenger

    In Astronomy will take a look at the heavens. We will start by studying the Earth, Moon, and Sun. Other topics will include the solar system, the stars, the galaxies, and the Universe.
  • Form 1 Science Aquatic Ecology 2010-2011
    Texts: Science Binder, Conservation Booklet
    Instructor Mr. Wenger

    In the first term of Science we will be studying Ecology. Ecology incorporates many scientific disciplines. These include Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physics. We will take a closer at Missouri Ecosystems and concentrate on Aquatic Ecology, by studying the Priory Pond.
  • Senior Science Seminar
  • We will spend the first half of our year studying Homer's Iliad, and then move on to later Greek and Roman works, including Oedipus Rex, Lysistrata, The Bacchae, Pseudolus, and others. If the class is exceptional, we may choose to read The Odyssey as well. In addition, we will read and analyze modern commentaries on these ancient works, including Simone Weil, Hans Urs Von Balthazar, Rachel Bespaloff, Sigmund Freud, Friedrich Nietzche, and others.
